Edna Perkins, a resident of Winslow Gardens Assisted and Independent Living in East Providence, recently marked a remarkable milestone—her 100th birthday. The centenarian celebrated in true Rhode Island fashion, enjoying a classic New England lobster feast paired with the state’s iconic Narragansett Beer.
Surrounded by her loving family and friends, Edna’s special day was made even more memorable with a performance by local singer Rebecca Pink, who entertained the crowd with her renditions of classic rock and pop songs. To top off the celebration, a delicious sheet cake was shared by residents of Winslow Gardens, as well as those from The Loft at Linn, along with the dedicated staff, adding an extra layer of sweetness to the occasion.
The event was a fitting celebration of Edna’s 100 years, marked by shared moments of joy, camaraderie, and community.
