September 21, 2023:
Dear Family and Friends of Linn Health & Rehabilitation Residents:
We were notified this morning that one of our Linn Health & Rehabilitation staff members has tested positive for COVID-19. We tested the 2nd floor residents, and all results are negative. We are also testing all employees who were in close contact with the positive staff member and, thus far, all results have been negative.
Per our protocol, our Infection Preventionist Chelsea Messier and Director of Nursing Julie Harris were in immediate contact with Rhode Island Department of Health for guidance. As recommended, we tested those individuals mentioned in the previous paragraph of this letter, and will also continue testing the close contacts for an additional 14 days. As always, we will contact you and our residents with any updates.
Linn Health & Rehabilitation continues to encourage strong infection control practices of all visitors. Please continue to screen upon entry and perform good hand hygiene before entering and exiting the facility. We continue to offer N95 masks to visitors, and ensure social distances between staff and residents. Again, the safest visit is virtual which can be scheduled conveniently with our Activities Department by calling 401-438-7210 ext 144.
If you have any questions or concerns, please outreach to me directly via email (admin-linn@aldersbridge.org) or by calling ext 120.
Respectfully,
Jamie L. Sanford, LNHA, LCSW
