Linn Health Latest COVID-19 Update

Mar 20, 2024

Dear Families of Linn Health & Rehabilitation Residents:

This letter is to inform you of a new positive COVID-19 result of a staff member at Linn Health & Rehabilitation. The staff member is now isolating at home for the next five days per Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) protocol.

RIDOH reminds us to remain vigilant with our infection control practices and monitoring, so here is what we are doing to reduce risk and keep the spread of the coronavirus at bay:

  • Twice weekly testing of all staff and residents who were in contact of this staff member regardless of vaccination status
  • Continue electrostatic cleaning of high-touch areas
  • Continued screening of all visitors and staff upon entry
  • Limiting traffic throughout the building
  • Aggressive monitoring of residents and staff for signs and symptoms of the coronavirus

If you or a family member are experiencing any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with a virus or other contagious illness, please postpone your visit until you are no longer a threat to the health of your loved one, other residents or staff members.

I continue to urge all residents, family members and staff to take extra precautions. Please do what you can to follow proper hand hygiene and cough etiquette. We encourage use of masks, which properly cover your mouth and nose. These are some of the ways you can help protect others when visiting a congregate healthcare setting such as ours.

It is always my priority to keep you informed and up to date with the most accurate information. Feel free to email me with any questions at

Jamie Sanford, LNHA, LCSW
